WABASH RIVER HERITAGE TRAIL - PAUL DRESSER SECTION
There are several independent sections of the Wabash River Heritage Trail throughout the state. Along the Wabash River in Terre Haute is the Paul Dresser Section. Paul is famous for the song, “On the Banks of the Wabash, Far Away.” This segment is pleasant as it strolls along the lazy river with broken tree cover and a crushed stone surface making walking more comfortable. Here the sounds of the city fade away and the wind may kiss your cheek as your mind wanders off in this pleasant setting.
