PENNSY TRAIL
The Pennsy Trail follows the old Pennsylvania Railroad right-of-way between Indianapolis and Richmond near the original National Road. Several segments have been built, but much work is needed to connect Richmond to Indianapolis. As of this writing (2024), there are segments in Indianapolis (Irvington), Cumberland, Greenfield, near Knightstown, Lewisville, and Centerville. This is part of the National Road Heritage Trail trying to build a trail across Indiana near the original National Road. Currently, trail managers are working to connect trail segments.
