ANDERSON AIRPORT TRAIL
The Anderson Airport Trail is a 1.5 mile long trail running from the entrance of Mounds State Park, around the end of one of the airport’s runways, to the American Legion Post 408 in Chesterfield. At one point on the trail, trail users can observe aircraft, automobiles, railroads, and human-powered transportation. The Hoosier Environmental Council has proposed a Mounds Greenway; a trail composed of a network of already established trails and new trails that would allow trail users to travel from Anderson to Muncie by following the White River. The Anderson Airport Trail is under consideration to be a portion of the Mounds Greenway.
