ABOITE TRAILS
The Aboite Trails are a collection of trails in the southwest area of Fort Wayne that run between housing developments, along roads, connect to parks, schools, and hospitals, and allow for residents' mobility so they can move about their community car-free. There are about 18 miles of trails in total, and connections to the Towpath Trail and other trail networks allow residents to commute to downtown Fort Wayne, and many of the major areas and attractions that Fort Wayne has to offer.

The Aboite Trails is an important network of trails that allow trail users to bike to work, walk to local amenities, and more in the Fort Wayne Area. Through the Towpath Trail this connects to more trails forming a network that includes 80+ miles of trails in the Fort Wayne Area.
Fort Wayne Trails who provided the map above, is the not-for-profit pro-trails advocacy group in Allen County that promotes trail development for the county. Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation owns and maintains the trails within city limits. New Haven / Adams Township Parks & Recreation owns and maintains trails in their area. Otherwise, the Allen County Highway Department owns and maintains trails outside of Fort Wayne and New Haven.
