Friends of the Pumpkinvine
Nature Trail

The Friends were founded in 1993 and are dedicated to maintaining and expanding the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail. The organization is dependent on the efforts of volunteers to carry out the day-to-day work required to achieve short- and long-term goals. The Friends' volunteers donate their time, equipment and financial resources to support the project.

The 17-mile Pumpkinvine Nature Trail runs from Goshen through Middlebury to Shipshewana. The trail connects to the Maple City Greenway in downtown Goshen and this greenway in turn connects to the 4.8-mile MapleHeart Trail. The trail network creates 25 miles of trails extending from Elkhart to Goshen, Middlebury and Shipshewana.
