E. 62nd Street Trail

County:
Marion
City:
Indianapolis

Descriptions:

A nice addition to the Indianapolis trail system was built just before the end of 2012.
The 1.3 mile E. 62nd Street Trail connects the Allisonville Road bikeway and the North East side of the city with the Broad Ripple Cultural District. The new trail runs west along E 62nd Street from Allisonville Road to the crossing at Keystone Avenue. It extends the access to the popular bikeway that runs from Keystone through Broad Ripple connecting to both the Monon Rail Trail and the Central Canal Towpath. Without taking any room from the street the trail meanders through the front yard easements of the houses that overlook E. 62nd Street and allows those living in the Castleton area to bike easily to Broad Ripple and all of its many places and pleasures.
